Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant- API Testing & Cypress

We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Consultant with deep expertise in API testing and Cypress automation to drive quality assurance strategies, lead automation frameworks, and ensure seamless integration and performance of web applications and microservices. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of testing methodologies, RESTful APIs, JavaScript-based automation tools (primarily Cypress), and experience mentoring teams.

Responsibilities

Lead test automation initiatives across web applications and API layers using Cypress and tools like Postman, Rest Assured, or similar.

Design, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for both UI and API testing.

Collaborate with product managers, developers, and DevOps teams to define test strategies and ensure high-quality releases.

Drive API testing efforts: validation of RESTful services, contract testing, data validation, and backend logic verification.

Create and manage test cases, test data, and test documentation in alignment with project requirements.

Implement and integrate test automation with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).

Troubleshoot automation issues and provide technical guidance to QA team members.

Conduct code reviews and promote best practices for test automation and QA processes.

Mentor and coach junior testers and automation engineers.

Qualificationswe seek in you

Minimum qualifications

-
Bachelor%27s or master%27s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

-
Valid years of experience in software testing, with experience in a lead QA/automation role.

-
Strong experience in API testing using Postman, Swagger, Rest Assured, or similar tools.

-
Proficient in Cypress and JavaScript/TypeScript for UI automation.

-
Familiarity with automation of end-to-end testing in modern web apps (React, Angular, etc.).

Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, HTTP methods, and authentication methods (OAuth, JWT).

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr

Hands-on experience with version control (Git), continuous integration (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), and Docker (optional but preferred).

Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication.

Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., ISTQB, Java certifications) are a plus.
