Job Description Designation: Assistant Manager Purchase Location: Shivare Plant Department: Purchase / Supply Chain Management Experience:10+ Years Qualification: BE (Electronics / Mechanical) Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager Purchase with 10+ years of experience to manage and support end-to-end procurement activities at the Shivare Plant. The role involves handling direct and indirect purchases, CAPEX procurement, and ensuring adherence to company purchase processes while supporting plant operations. Key Responsibilities: - Handle Direct Item procurement as per production, quality, and cost requirements - Manage Machine and Jigs procurement, including technical coordination, vendor negotiations, and order finalization - Execute and monitor CAPEX procurement activities from requirement finalization to PO closure - Manage non-BOM procurement to support production lines and plant requirements - Ensure compliance with purchase processes, policies, and internal controls - Coordinate IT procurement, including hardware, software, and related services - Develop and maintain effective vendor relationships for timely delivery and cost optimization - Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Quality, IT, and Finance teams for smooth procurement operations Skills & Competencies: - Strong experience in Purchase and SCM functions in a manufacturing setup - Good exposure to CAPEX and technical procurement - Strong negotiation and vendor management skills - Working knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office - Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills - Ability to handle responsibilities independently at plant level
