The Account Executive will work closely with senior accounting leadership, auditors, and cross-functional teams to manage all aspects of the accounting function. The role requires strong knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles, with hands-on experience using Zoho Books and Tally. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in managing ledgers, accounts payables and receivables, cash and bank reconciliations, and tax filing.

Requirements

Job Purpose:

- To oversee and manage daily accounting operations.
- To collaborate with internal teams and ensure timely and accurate data flow for audit and management reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting Tasks

- Book and track purchase bills, utility bills, and related payments.
- Manage credit card reconciliations and expense categorization.
- Handle petty cash transactions and maintain vouchers in Zoho Books.
- Review and reconcile customer and vendor ledgers.
- Support monthly closing and finalization of accounts.
- Coordinate with auditors for requirements and timely submission of returns.
- Maintain organized filing systems for company documents.
- Oversee bank and cash transactions.

Payroll-Related

- Ensure employees submit income tax declarations and investment proofs.
- Verify employee investment proofs for payroll compliance.
- Handle employee queries related to TDS calculations.
- Provide Form 16 to employees when required.
- Coordinate with EPF and ESIC consultants to ensure compliance.

Statutory Compliance

- Verify TDS calculations and ensure timely TDS payments.
- Work with CA teams to collect and file quarterly TDS returns, GST payments, and issue TDS certificates to vendors.
- Collaborate with company secretarial teams on compliance matters and board resolutions when required.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce or a related field.
- Strong communication skills (spoken and written English).
- Proficiency in Zoho Books, Tally, and MS Excel/Google Sheets.
- Based in Mumbai.
