Job Description Job Description As Commissioning Lead for our Bio CNG plants, you will oversee the entire commissioning process, ensuring adherence to safety standards, individual equipment and plant performance testing, Plant handover to the owner representative / O&M team, and getting technical commissioning approval from the client. Job Description: - Preparation of the CBG plant commissioning manual and commissioning protocol checklist. - Validation of equipment packages performance test conducted by the supplier, third-party agency, or operating team. - Creating MIS for the commissioning progress of multiple projects. - Building a commissioning team to handle scaled-up business requirements. - Preparing training modules for engineering. and commissioning teams. - Monitor and track the progress of the CAR process and effective utilization by the site team, and apply the learning for future projects. - Remote monitoring and commissioning of various equipment and systems. - Issue the punch list to the construction team and validate completion of construction and mechanical completion readiness. - Commissioning the system & preparing protocols jointly with the customer/O&M team - HOTO to the owner's representative and get the Technical / Mechanical completion signed off. - Conduct a reliability run test and PG of individual equipment and the entire plant - Complete/monitor completion of the punch list and hand over the plant for commercial operation. - Prepare a report on lessons learnt. - Approving vendors project/scope completion report, conducting PG tests, etc., which will be treated as a document for final payment release. - Cross-functional working, demonstrating Thermax values and cultures on the ground to ensure customer customer-first approach. - Guiding, coaching the project and engineering team for improvements and better customer experience. - Leadership and managerial skills - Techno-Commercial knowledge - Team working & empathetic approach - Relevant technical expertise, out-of-the-box thinking & troubleshooting ability. - Investigating, diagnosing, and the ability to identifying solutions on the go. - Use of technology for customer connect and customer relationship management. Qualifications And Experience: - Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Electronics, and Instrument Engineering, and Biotechnology. A master's will be an advantage. - At least 10-12 years proven track record/experience in commissioning, performance testing, and troubleshooting of industrial plants, preferably in the waste water treatment (Large capacity), distillery units, chemical process, pharma plants, Gas Handling system, renewable energy, power plants, or biofuel sector. - Direct field experience of a minimum of 8-10 years in the commissioning of plants is mandatory. - Strong knowledge of plant start-up processes and commissioning of process equipment, rotary equipment, electrical, Instrument, and control systems, etc. - Awareness of PSSR processes, HAZOP Studies, HAZID classifications, etc., applicable to gas plants will be an advantage. - In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and standards applicable to industrial plants. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to technical details - Keen eye and ability to read and understand engineering drawings, PID, PFD, equipment specifications, and control logic diagrams. - Ability to troubleshoot, prepare RCA, identify problems in equipment, and resolve them remotely or in the field. - Ability to lead cross-functional teams, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
