In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software applications through automation-first testing practices. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to build robust testing strategies, identify risks early, and drive a culture of quality across the engineering team. Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for web and API testing. - Write and execute automation scripts to validate functional and non-functional requirements. - Collaborate with developers to ensure test coverage across all new features and bug fixes. - Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation. - Conduct regression, smoke, performance, and integration testing using automation tools. - Analyse test results, log defects, and track them to closure. - Provide mentorship to junior testers in best practices for automation. - Ensure adherence to quality engineering standards and continuous improvement initiatives. - Stay up to date with the latest automation tools, techniques, and industry trends. Pre-requisites: - 3+ years of proven experience in automation testing. - Strong experience with automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium. - Hands-on experience in scripting with Java, JavaScript, or Python for test automation. - Solid understanding of API testing (e.g., Postman, RestAssured) and tools like Swagger. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git. - Familiarity with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow. - Strong knowledge of software testing lifecycle, test design techniques, and Agile methodologies. - Good understanding of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) is a plus. - Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication and collaboration abilities. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
