Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Factory HR Head with a strong background in Industrial Relations (IR) to lead our HR function at our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing IR issues, negotiating with unions, and developing strategies to promote positive employee relations.

Key Responsibilities

1 Strategic HR Planning

- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Conduct workforce planning, succession planning, talent development and unit HR and Welfare budgets.
- Industrial Relations
- Manage collective bargaining agreements (LTAs) and labour negotiations.
- Manage IR issues, including negotiations with unions, grievance handling, and conflict resolution.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote positive employee relations and prevent IR issues.
- Employee Relations
- Foster positive employee relations through effective communication and engagement.
- Address employee concerns, grievances, and conflicts.
- Manage disciplinary actions as Certified Standing orders and performance improvement plans.
- Recruitment and Staffing

Oversee recruitment processes, including job postings, interviews, and hiring.

- Training and Development
- Design and deliver training programs for factory employees.
- Identify development needs and create growth opportunities.
- Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Identify and mitigate potential IR-related risks.

Requirements

Experience

- 15+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record in managing IR issues and negotiating with unions.

Skills

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and IR best practices.
