Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cyber Security Specialist to protect our organization's digital assets and infrastructure from cyber threats. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network and information security, threat detection, incident response, and risk management. You will be responsible for implementing security measures, identifying vulnerabilities, and ensuring the overall integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data and systems. Key Responsibilities: - Security Monitoring & Incident Response: - - Monitor security systems, logs, and alerts for unusual activity or breaches. - - Respond to and investigate security incidents and events in real time. - - Coordinate with internal and external teams during incident handling and recovery. - - Threat Intelligence & Vulnerability Management: - - Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing. - - Analyze emerging threats and vulnerabilities; recommend mitigations. - - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the cybersecurity landscape. Network & System Security: - Configure and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS), anti-virus, and endpoint protection. - - Ensure secure configuration of servers, workstations, and networks. - - Enforce access controls and data protection policies. - - Security Architecture & Compliance: - - Participate in the design and implementation of secure system architectures. - - Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA). - - Support audit processes and risk assessments. - - Policy Development & Awareness: - - Assist in developing and enforcing security policies and procedures. - - Deliver cybersecurity training and awareness programs to staff. - - Promote a culture of security throughout the organization. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of security configurations, incident reports, and audit trails. Prepare reports on security status, incidents, and recommended improvements for senior management. Qualifications: - Overall, 6 + Years experience - Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Industry certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, CISM, or GSEC preferred. - - Proven experience in cybersecurity roles (3+ years). - - Strong understanding of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and security architecture. - - Knowledge of scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus. - - Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, LogRhythm). - - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Skills: - Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP). - Understanding of DevSecOps practices and tools. - Experience in incident forensics and malware analysis.
