Reporting To: Offshore Recruitment Manager (Upstaff HQ Canada/US)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic RecruitmentTeamLead to spearhead our Srinagar-based recruitment operations. The role involves managing a team of recruiters, driving hiring strategies, building robust talent pipelines, and ensuring timely fulfillment of staffing needs across multiple industries.
This position requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with our Offshore Recruitment Manager in Canada/US.
Key Responsibilities
TeamLeadership & Management
- Supervise, mentor, and guide a team of recruiters to meet monthly and quarterly hiring targets.
- Conduct daily check-ins, weekly team meetings, and performance reviews.
- Identify training needs and deliver upskilling sessions to strengthen team capabilities.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
Recruitment Strategy & Execution
- Design and implement recruitment strategies in alignment with Upstaff's offshore directives.
- Leverage diverse sourcing methods: job portals, social media, referrals, networking, and campus hiring.
- Drive volume hiring as well as niche/specialized role fulfillment.
- Ensure compliance with diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) principles.
Candidate & Client Management
- Oversee the screening, shortlisting, and interview coordination process.
- Ensure a high-quality candidate experience from application to onboarding.
- Support negotiations and smooth transition of selected candidates to onboarding teams.
- Maintain strong coordination with offshore client-facing managers for timely feedback and closures.
Process & Compliance
- Track and manage recruitment metrics (time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, offer acceptance rate, etc.).
- Prepare and share weekly/monthly recruitment dashboards with the Offshore Manager.
- Ensure compliance with regional labor laws, company hiring policies, and data protection guidelines.
- Implement continuous process improvements to optimize efficiency.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the point of escalation for recruitment-related concerns in the Srinagar office.
- Build strong partnerships with internal HR, client managers, and external partners.
- Align local recruitment execution with global Upstaff standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive experience in recruitment, with at least 2 years in a team lead/supervisory capacity.
- Prior exposure to offshore recruitment models and global staffing processes is highly desirable.
- Strong command of ATS, CRM systems, and sourcing tools (LinkedIn, Naukri, Indeed, etc.).
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, thrive under pressure, and deliver results in tight timelines.
- Familiarity with staffing across healthcare, industrial, and engineering roles is an added advantage.
