Rubber Technologist

Job Description Job Overview We are hiring a Rubber Technologist for a full-time, mid-level position located in Sriperumbudur. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of work experience. This role requires expertise in rubber compounding, material testing, and Six Sigma methodologies, with a focus on both mandatory and required technical skills. Job description: - Minimum of 5 years of applied work history in tool design, compounding, process design, application, and testing. - Demonstrated expertise in rubber manufacturing processes to include rubber mixing, extrusion, molding and preform design. - Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TQM, with experience in implementing quality control measures to ensure product performance and compliance. - Knowledge of SPC and PFMEA/FMEA/DFMEA. - Experience with materials testing equipment, standards (ASTM/ISO), and interpretation of testing results. - Team driven personality. Candidate must be able to collaborate, communicate, and build relationships between vendors, Engineering, and Quality. - Preferred candidate will have hands on experience with compression, transfer and injection molding processes to ensure trouble shooting capabilities. - Roles and Responsibilities - Develop and optimize rubber compounds for diverse applications aligning with business goals. - Perform material testing to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications. - Implement Six Sigma projects to drive process improvement and operational excellence. - Design, develop, and evaluate processes for the production of rubber components. - Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance tooling design and performance metrics. - Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all operations. - Provide technical guidance and support to production teams to improve product quality. - Keep abreast of industry trends and technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
