Job Description Key Responsibilities - Prepare and review simple to complex U.S. federal, multi-state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses (Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S, 990, etc.). - Identify potential tax credits, deductions, and liabilities to optimize client tax outcomes. - Ensure timely and accurate filing of returns in compliance with U.S. Tax regulations. - Review financial records, income statements, receipts, and prior tax returns to determine tax strategies. - Interview clients to obtain a complete understanding of their financial situation. - Use tax preparation software (Pro System FX, ProSeries, Lacerte, GoSystem, Drake, UltraTax, Intuit Online Tax) and QuickBooks for filings and client support. - Provide guidance to clients to avoid unnecessary tax liabilities and maximize compliance benefits. - Assist the operations team with workload management and tax process improvements. - Maintain strong attention to detail while managing multiple returns and client information. Required Skills - Deep knowledge of U.S. taxation rules for individuals and corporations. - Strong understanding of US GAAP and accounting principles. - Expert proficiency in tax preparation software and QuickBooks. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Ability to manage multiple tasks while ensuring accuracy and compliance. - Strong ownership, accountability, and proactive learning mindset.
