Position Overview: The Duty Manager Warehouse oversees all inbound, outbound, and transit operations during their shift, ensuring timely and accurate shipment connections to the network. This role involves supervising staff, maintaining compliance with operational workflows, and managing exception cases while fostering a performance-driven culture. The Duty Manager is also responsible for effective communication and documentation, ensuring smooth warehouse operations and staff development. Job Purpose: The Duty Manager Warehouse is responsible for overseeing inbound, outbound, and transit operations during their shift, ensuring timely and accurate shipment connections to the network. This role ensures compliance with operational standards and fosters efficient team performance. Key Roles & Responsibilities: - Supervise all inbound, outbound, and transit operations during the shift, ensuring timely and accurate shipment connections. - Oversee documentation and regulatory compliance for all shipments, coordinating with check-posts for clearances. - Manage staff performance, conduct daily briefings, and facilitate training to ensure adherence to operational workflows and SOPs. - Handle exception cases, monitor stock levels, and ensure effective communication with PUD and Service Centers regarding network changes and delays. - Generate and analyze MIS reports related to warehouse operations, driving service quality and operational excellence. Qualifications & Experience: Education: - Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. - Relevant certifications in warehouse management or logistics (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma) are a plus. Experience: - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations or logistics management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. - Proven track record in managing inbound and outbound logistics, inventory control, and compliance with operational standards. - Experience in leading teams, conducting training, and fostering a performance-driven culture within a warehouse environment. Skills & Capabilities: Core Technical Skills: - Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software. - Strong understanding of logistics operations, including inbound and outbound processes. - Knowledge of regulatory compliance and documentation requirements for shipments. - Data analysis skills for generating and interpreting operational reports (MIS). - Familiarity with safety protocols and best practices in warehouse operations.
