Job Description Co-Founder / CTO (Fintech & Fraud Prevention Infrastructure) SecurePay Shield Hyderabad, Telangana, India (Remote/Hybrid) Full-time Founding Team About Secure Pay Shield SecurePay Shield is a payments security infrastructure company dedicated to empowering India's digital economy. It provides regulated institutions and large platforms with an APIfirst, whitelabel solution that embeds intelligent, riskbased controls directly into transaction flows. By reducing fraud losses and improving operational efficiency, SecurePay Shield helps enterprise partners strengthen customer trust and enhance unit economics. The company operates with a compliancebydesign approach and is currently engaging selected design partners under NDA. Its gotomarket strategy follows a B2B2C model, working through banks, payment apps, and distribution partners, with a commercial structure based on pertransaction fees and annual platform licensing. SecurePay Shield is at the preMVP, preseed stage and has early momentum through participation in RBI's HaRBInger 2025 Global Fintech Hackathon and collaboration with the THub innovation ecosystem. The Role We are looking for a Co-Founder / CTO who will be the senior technical leader and equal partner in building SecurePay Shield from 01. This is not just a coding role you will architect the platform, build bank partnerships, and navigate regulatory approvals. Your Core Responsibilities: 1. Technical Architecture & Engineering Leadership - Design and implement the real-time fraud detection engine (HaRBInger Engine) for sub-second transaction analysis - Build secure, scalable backend infrastructure for UPI integrations, risk scoring APIs, and bank dashboards - Lead a small engineering team (backend, ML, DevOps) from hiring to code reviews to production deployment - Establish engineering culture, CI/CD pipelines, security protocols, and incident response frameworks 2. Bank Relationship Management - Directly engage with SBI, HDFC, ICICI, Axis, and other banks for pilot partnerships - Negotiate API access, sandbox environments, and commercial agreements - Present technical architecture to bank CTOs/CISOs and win their trust for live transaction data access - Manage integration timelines, compliance requirements, and post-launch support 3. Regulatory Navigation - Work with NPCI, RBI, IFSCA to achieve regulatory sandbox approvals and compliance certifications - Prepare documentation for data security, privacy (DPDP Act), and financial fraud prevention standards - Ensure all architecture decisions meet RBI's Master Directions on fraud prevention and NPCI security guidelines - Represent SecurePay Shield in regulatory meetings and hackathons What You Bring Must-Have: - 1218+ years of technology leadership in fintech, payments, core banking, or fraud/risk systems - Ex-NPCI, ex-RBI, ex-bank (CTO/VP Engineering) or successful fintech founder with exit - Proven track record of building and scaling transactional systems (UPI, cards, wallets, core banking) - Strong banking relationship network you know how to talk to bank CTOs and get pilots approved - Deep understanding of regulatory landscape (RBI, NPCI, IFSCA) and compliance requirements - Ready to co-invest 50L2 Cr (personal capital or raised) this signals commitment as a true co-founder - Full-time founding team commitment (not advisory/part-time) Nice-to-Have: - Experience with AI/ML in fraud detection (graph networks, anomaly detection, federated learning) - Previous 01 product build in a startup environment - Active angel investor network in fintech/payments space What You Get - Co-Founder title + CTO role with 3540% equity (4-year vesting, 1-year cliff) - Board seat and full operational control of technology, partnerships, and regulatory roadmap - Direct access to NPCI sandbox and bank pilots - Opportunity to build India's fraud-proof payment layer from scratch - Salary post-funding + meaningful ESOP pool for future team Location Hyderabad, Telangana, India (Remote/Hybrid).
