hardware software communications and or application solutions and the resources required to plan for develop deliver and support properly engineered IT services and products to meet the needs of a business Prepares new or changed services manages change processes and manages performance of systems and services in relation to their contribution to business performance Applies technical skills to support the operation and maintenance of vendor products services and solutions and typically have responsibility for sizing troubleshooting and critical client situations of MF MQ Responsible for the administration of Websphere MQ WMQ subsystems and associated software on the clients mainframes Install test configure and implement mainframe WMQ and associated system software while maintaining a stable operating system environment for business applications Perform WMQ system backups and recovery Monitors system activity for performance and availability and where necessary tune accordingly Perform problem diagnosis and resolution Create maintain and use automation scripts for MQ for z OS monitoring alerting and problem determination and resolution Design and Implement security aspects related to MQ Architect Design Clustering workload balancing in client environment Troubleshoot Infrastructure and Application issues related to MQ Evaluate and recommend changes to current and future system software requirements to meet the organization s needs Ensure documentation of all related operational processes and procedures Install and upgrade MQ for z OS using Shopz Series and SMP E Troubleshoot MQ problems using MQ command line and monitoring tools Provide primary and backup on-call support during extended hours including nights and weekends At Kyndryl we re committed to scripting Install configure and maintain WMQ and associated system software Monitor system performance availability implementing necessary tuning Perform system backups recovery and troubleshooting for MQ issues Develop automation scripts for monitoring alerting and issue resolution Ensure security compliance and implement security best practices for MQ Design clustering and workload balancing for high availability Support on-call rotations for extended-hour coverage Preferred Skills and ExperienceBachelors degree in computer science or a related field MQ upgrade from one version to another
