Job Description Job Summary The Technical Lead will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of mainframe applications using CICS VSAM JCL DB2 and Cobol. With a focus on delivering high-quality solutions the candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality. This role requires a deep understanding of mainframe technologies and the ability to guide and mentor team members. Responsibilities - Oversee the development and maintenance of mainframe applications using CICS VSAM JCL DB2 and Cobol. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of applications. - Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge. - Ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet business requirements and objectives. - Analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues to ensure smooth operation of applications. - Develop and implement best practices for coding testing and deployment of mainframe applications. - Monitor application performance and implement improvements to optimize efficiency. - Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical solutions. - Lead code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and guidelines. - Document technical specifications and maintain comprehensive project documentation. - Stay updated with the latest advancements in mainframe technologies and incorporate them into projects. - Mentor junior developers and provide training to enhance their technical capabilities. - Contribute to the companys purpose by delivering solutions that improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Qualifications - Possess a strong understanding of CICS VSAM JCL DB2 and Cobol with hands-on experience. - Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. - Exhibit strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders. - Have a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions in a timely manner. - Show proficiency in developing and implementing best practices for mainframe application development. - Display the ability to mentor and guide junior team members to enhance their skills. Certifications Required IBM Certified System Programmer - CICS IBM Certified Database Administrator - DB2
