Position Overview We are seeking an exceptional Senior Data Scientist to join our team in Hyderabad. This role is pivotal in advancing our healthcare AI/ML capabilities, with a focus on fine-tuning large language models, developing medical AI solutions, and driving innovation in clinical NLP and EHR data processing. You will work at the intersection of cutting-edge AI research and real-world healthcare applications, mentoring junior team members while collaborating closely with clinicians, product teams, and cross-functional stakeholders. Location Hyderabad, India (Onsite) Experience Required 5-10 years of professional experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or AI Key Responsibilities AI/ML Model Development & Fine-Tuning Design, develop, and fine-tune large language models (LLMs) including OpenAI models and medical-specific models like MedGemma for healthcare applications Implement advanced prompt engineering techniques to optimize model performance for clinical use cases Build and deploy medical AI/ML models focused on Clinical NLP and EHR data analysis Develop solutions for extracting insights from unstructured healthcare data including medical records, claims, pre-authorization documents, and patient surveys Optimize model performance, accuracy, and efficiency for production healthcare environments Healthcare Domain Expertise Apply deep understanding of Clinical NLP to solve complex healthcare challenges Process and analyze Electronic Health Records (EHR) data to generate actionable insights Work with healthcare data standards and ensure regulatory compliance (HIPAA, FHIR, HL7) Collaborate with clinical stakeholders to understand domain-specific requirements and translate them into AI solutions Develop AI systems for claims processing automation, utilization management, and care management applications Technical Leadership & MLOps Design and implement end-to-end ML pipelines from data ingestion to model deployment Establish MLOps best practices including model versioning, monitoring, and continuous improvement Work with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) to deploy scalable AI solutions Implement data engineering workflows to handle large-scale healthcare datasets Ensure model explainability, fairness, and responsible AI practices in production systems Team Leadership & Collaboration Mentor and guide junior data scientists and ML engineers Lead cross-functional collaboration with clinicians, product managers, and engineering teams Communicate complex AI concepts and model insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Drive innovation through research, experimentation, and implementation of state-of-the-art techniques Contribute to building a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and ethical AI development Required QualificationsEducation Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Bioinformatics, or related field  (preferred) Bachelor's degree with exceptional relevant experience will be considered Core Data Science Skills 5-10 years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, and AI development Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) Expert knowledge of statistical analysis, experimental design, and model evaluation Experience with classical ML algorithms, deep learning architectures, and neural networks Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles Specialized Healthcare AI Skills Proven experience fine-tuning large language models (LLMs)  such as OpenAI GPT models, MedGemma, or similar medical AI models Expertise in Clinical NLP  and natural language understanding for healthcare applications Experience working with EHR data , medical coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS), and healthcare data formats Advanced prompt engineering  skills for optimizing LLM performance in medical contexts Knowledge of medical AI model architectures and healthcare-specific ML applications MLOps & Infrastructure Experience with MLOps practices including model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management Proficiency with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) for ML workloads Data engineering skills including ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing, and big data technologies Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD for ML systems Familiarity with vector databases, model serving frameworks, and API development Domain & Regulatory Knowledge Understanding of healthcare regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, GDPR) Knowledge of healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7, DICOM) Awareness of Responsible AI, Explainable AI (XAI), and bias mitigation techniques Experience with healthcare workflows in claims processing, care management, or clinical operations Leadership & Communication Demonstrated experience mentoring junior team members and leading technical initiatives Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex AI concepts to diverse audiences Strong collaboration skills for working with clinicians, product teams, and business stakeholders Track record of delivering production-grade AI solutions in healthcare or regulated industries Preferred Qualifications Publications or contributions to AI/ML research, particularly in healthcare or medical AI Experience with Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain, or similar LLM frameworks Knowledge of reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF) and model alignment techniques Familiarity with medical imaging AI, clinical decision support systems, or predictive analytics in healthcare Experience with real-time data processing and streaming analytics
