If you possess integrity and a strong zeal to learn, we want you on our team Role Description This articleship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of financial and compliance activities under the mentorship of experienced professionals. You will play a crucial role in supporting our clients and senior staff while developing the essential skills required to become a successful Chartered Accountant. Key Responsibilities - Auditing and Assurance: Assist in internal, statutory, and tax audits, including risk assessments, conducting audit tests, verifying financial records, and preparing audit reports. - Taxation: Support the preparation and filing of direct and indirect tax returns (Income Tax, GST, TDS), perform tax computations, Transfer Pricing and research tax laws and regulations. - Accounting and Financial Reporting: Assist in day-to-day accounting tasks, maintain accurate financial records, perform bank reconciliations, and prepare financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, etc.). - Corporate and Compliance Services: Support ROC (Registrar of Companies) and MCA (Ministry of Corporate Affairs) compliance work, including company incorporation and annual return filings. - Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and provide insights to senior team members and clients. - Client Interaction: Engage with clients to gather information, respond to queries, and maintain professional relationships. - High Value Specialisation: Into IndAS/IFRS, Transfer Pricing, Valuations, Mergers & Acquisition, Transaction Tax, Regulatory and FEMA, Cross Border / International Advisory, Technology & Automations. We may also consider full-time hybrid role for a CA Articled Assistant or Trainee at Mohit Makhija & Associates, located in Faridabad, with flexibility for remote work on case to case basis with disciplined work environment. The role involves assisting in areas of accounting, auditing, taxation, and financial reporting. Responsibilities include maintaining compliance documents, preparing audit reports, analyzing financial data, and supporting management in strategic decision-making. Required Qualifications & Skills - Must be currently enrolled in the Chartered Accountancy (CA) program with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). - Successful completion of at least one group of CA Intermediate/IPCC examinations (both groups preferred). - Completed or pursuing the mandatory ICITSS/ITT and Orientation Programs. - Strong theoretical knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and basic tax laws. - Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel, and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Tally). - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - A high level of integrity, dedication, and a strong zeal to learn and grow in a professional environment. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
