Job Description Job Title: NMS/EMS Engineer (ISP Network Monitoring) Job Location: Bangalore Experience: 3 to 5years Role Summary We are looking for an experienced NMS/EMS Engineer to design, develop, and manage our Network Management System used for ISP-grade network monitoring. The engineer shall ensure visibility of routers, switches, firewalls, GPON devices, servers, and data-center infrastructure, also training the NOC/technical teams on tool usage. Key Responsibilities Develop and customize NMS/EMS tools for real-time monitoring, alerts, dashboards, and reports. Manage monitoring platforms (LibreNMS, Zabbix, Grafana, OpenNMS, Prometheus, or similar). Integrate NMS with CRM/OSS/BSS, ticketing systems, and APIs. Automate device onboarding, KPI generation, and alerts using Python or similar languages. Perform server/VM maintenance for the NMS environment. Create dashboards and SLA reports for internal teams and enterprise/government customers. Train NOC and field teams on using monitoring tools. Document procedures, SOPs, and runbooks. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in any stream. Strong knowledge of Python scripting, REST APIs, SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow/sFlow. Good understanding of ISP technologies: BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLAN, GPON/OLT/ONT basics. Experience working with Linux servers and databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL/Elastic). Hands-on experience with NMS tools such as LibreNMS, Zabbix, Observium, Prometheus, or equivalent. Good communication skills with ability to train teams. Preferred (Good to Have) Experience in an ISP/NOC environment. Familiarity with Juniper, Cisco, Nokia, Huawei, Fortinet APIs and telemetry. Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes or cloud environments. Exposure to automation and performance analytics. Experience Range - 35 years in network monitoring, NMS/EMS development, or ISP network operations.
