Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Merchandiser, based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The Senior Merchandiser will oversee merchandise planning, coordinate with vendors, manage stock levels, and work closely with the sales team to drive revenue growth. The role involves developing marketing strategies, analyzing market trends, and ensuring optimal presentation of products to meet customer expectations and organizational goals. Collaboration with internal teams, active problem-solving, and decision-making are integral components of the daily responsibilities. Qualifications - Strong communication and customer service skills to effectively interact with clients and other stakeholders - Proficient in sales and retail operations to meet business growth objectives - Marketing acumen and a deep understanding of market trends and strategies for product promotion - Excellent organizational and time management abilities - Previous experience in merchandising, especially in a retail environment, is highly desirable - Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field is preferred - Proficiency in data analysis tools and Microsoft Office Suite is beneficial
