Maintenance In-ChargeCore Responsibilities - Mechanical Maintenance: - Manage and lead the team of Fitters, Welders, and Helpers. - Plan and execute daily maintenance activities for the shift. - Attend immediately to problems in running reactors. - Ensure all plant machinery, including Nitrogen Plants, Compressors, Pumps (oil transfer, cooling tower, burner), and utilities, are maintained and in working condition. - Schedule and follow general and preventive maintenance (e.g., greasing). - Coordinate with the Electrical Department for repairs of motors and panels. - Safety & Compliance: - Ensure the Work Permit System (Hot/Cold work permits) is strictly followed. - Maintain all firefighting equipment (extinguishers, hydrant lines) in working condition. - Ensure all works are done according to safety protocols. - Stores & Inventory: - Manage and track the consumption of spare parts. - Review consumption monthly and analyze variances. - Take corrective action to reduce spare consumption and replace frequently spoiled spares with durable ones. - Ensure a spare reactor is kept ready. - Coordination & Reporting: - Keep in touch with Process/Production departments and Supervisors for live issues. - Coordinate with external vendors (for fabrication, vehicle repair, AMC visits). - Report maintenance challenges to the Plant Head daily.
