Reports to: CEO / Founder Direct Reports (initial): Engineering, Integration, Data, Security, UX pods. Mission Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of a point-of-care clinical agent tightly integrated with eClinicalWorks (eCW). Put arms around all technology decisions: architecture, team hiring, vendor partnerships, and product delivery. Ensure the platform improves physician experience, maximizes patient health outcomes, and produces financially sound, compliant documentation. Key Responsibilities - Technology Strategy & Architecture - Own overall technical roadmap (agent loops, event bus, BPMN orchestration, data schemas). - Balance quick wins (2-week pilot, 3-month MVP) with scalable architecture. - Define integration strategy with eCW (APIs, HL7/FHIR, clearinghouse X12). - Ensure HIPAA, NCQA, payer compliance are baked into design. - Team Building & Leadership - Hire and mentor critical roles: Integration Engineers (U.S./India), Rules Engine Developer, NLP/ML engineers, Data & Security staff. - Build hybrid teams across U.S. domain experts and offshore eCW engineering talent. - Establish agile practices with high accountability and clinical input. - Clinical & Business Alignment - Partner with informaticist, physician champion, billing/quality advisors. - Translate clinical workflows into technical requirements. - Ensure billing, compliance, and quality incentive logic is respected. - Keep the product aligned with business goals: reduced denials, faster documentation, improved HEDIS closure. - Execution & Delivery - Drive 2-week pilot success metrics: time saved, denial reduction, quality gap closure. - Oversee integration of consultant team in Ahmedabad with U.S. leadership. - Maintain vendor relationships with eCW contacts for interface specs and compliance. - Governance & Security - Implement robust auditability, provenance tracking, and secure PHI handling. - Own risk management across technical and compliance domains. Candidate Profile Experience: - 10+ years in healthcare IT or SaaS platforms. - Prior hands-on experience with eClinicalWorks integrations or equivalent major EMR. - Proven leadership in building cross-functional teams (onshore/offshore). - Familiar with claims/billing workflows, payer quality metrics, and U.S. regulatory environment. Skills: - Strong architecture design (event-driven, microservices, HL7/FHIR messaging). - Comfortable with rules engines, clinical ontologies (SNOMED, LOINC, RxNorm). - Knowledge of NLP/ML for structured clinical notes is a plus, but emphasis is on integration and orchestration. - Excellent communicator across clinical, financial, and engineering domains. Personal Traits: - Pragmatic buildervalues working prototypes and fast iteration over theory. - Comfortable making tradeoffs: speed vs compliance, MVP vs scale. - Cultural fluency to manage distributed teams (U.S. physicians, India engineers, U.S. payers).
