About the Role: Position Title: Senior Technical Analyst Corporate Title: AVP Reporting to: VP Location: Bengaluru Job Profile: Position details: This role will be in the Cash and Liquidity Technology team. The Cash and Liquidity Technology team is responsible for all stages in the software development process. They are accountable for managing detailed projects in support of change/programmes and for the ongoing maintenance of Transaction Banking portfolio, working closely with stakeholders from multiple teams across EMEA and Business areas The role will be responsible for supporting technical design for all the projects, implementing the change and supporting the following payment flows for the majority of the European branches of MUFG: - SEPA (Credit Transfer and Direct Debit) - BACS - Faster Payments - Local European payment formats - High Value SWIFT transfers, including CHAPS and Target2 as well as foreign remittances The role will involve guiding the team members delivering into the project stakeholders. Job Requirements: Essential Functions: - Accountable and responsible for the end-to-end life cycle of all COTS and in-house bespoke applications in Cash and Liquidity Technology System Analysis domain. - Responsible for technical design and application design based on the functional and non-functional requirements. - Accountable and responsible for the quality and completeness of technical designs of applications entering the production environment. - Work with and within project teams to guide design and execution, building solutions to assure alignment with architecture specifications and standards. - Works with clients/users and development groups to identify most appropriate and effective use of Application platform and set strategy and standards for whole application areas. - In addition to project activities, provide a primary contact point for effective investigation and resolution of Level 3 support issues, coordinating all necessary parties. Also provide support for timely resolution of test environment issues. - Drive the building of a service excellence culture, always putting the customer, our people and our business at the centre of everything undertaken. - Works closely with other Technology Teams including but not limited to Business Analysts, Enterprise Architects, Head Office, Service management, Change & Release Management and IT Risk, Security & Control. - A team player, approachable and flexible but also able to work independently. Education: - Degree Educated (preferably Computer Science or similar) or holds a relevant professional qualification. Work Experience: - Significant industry experience within a financial organisation. - Development and support experience on transaction processing systems. Functional / Technical Skills and Knowledge requirements: - Strong knowledge of fundamentals of software engineering and application architecture as well as service management. - Strong working experience in SEPA (Credit Transfer and Direct Debit, Instant), Faster Payments, BACS and local European payment formats. - Detailed knowledge and hands on experience of FIS OPF / FIS PaaS / Payments application or any other similar payment processing application. - Preferable to have understanding of middleware, sanctions screening, charging and fraud monitoring systems. - Familiar with ISO XML message formats e.g. pain, pacs and camt formats - Has a comprehensive knowledge of relevant development life-cycles. - Current experience in infrastructure components like WebSphere Application Server, IBM MQ, Linux, Windows servers, Oracle and SQL Databases. - Breadth of experience with strengths in application design, security and operations - Has good knowledge of IT standards and codes of conduct. - Troubleshoot both infrastructure and development related issues. - Knowledge of containerisation technologies, high availability, deployment models, disaster Recovery, cloud and networking. - Good understanding of API and Digital Enablement platforms Equal Opportunity Employer: The MUFG Group is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants and employees and does not discriminate on the basis of race, colour, national origin, physical appearance, religion, gender expression, gender identity, sex, age, ancestry, marital status, disability, medical condition, sexual orientation, genetic information, or any other protected status of an individual or that individual's associates or relatives, or any other classification protected by the applicable laws.
