Job Title : BigData-Hadoop/Scala Engineer, AVP

Location : Pune, India

Role Description

A Senior Engineer is responsible for designing and developing entire engineering solutions to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of this role include ensuring that solutions are well architected, with maintainability and ease of testing built in from the outset, and that they can be integrated successfully into the end-to-end business process flow. They will have gained significant experience through multiple implementations and have begun to develop both depth and breadth in a number of engineering competencies. They have extensive knowledge of design and architectural patterns. They will provide engineering thought leadership within their teams, and will play a role in mentoring and coaching of less experienced engineers.

Your key responsibilities

- This role is for Senior Software Engineer responsible for Design and Developing software applications.
- The candidate is expected to work closely with Team Leads or Software Development Managers and other key stake holders to ensure good quality, maintainable, scalable and high performing software applications are delivered to users.
- Candidate/Applicants should be coming from a strong technological background.
- Should be hands on and be able to work independently requiring minimal technical/tool guidance.
- Should have good communication skill and strong positive outlook.
- Experience working in Agile and Scrum delivery
- Should be able to contribute towards good software design
- Participate in daily stand-up meetings
- Analyze software defects and fix them in timely manner
- Work closely with Functional Analysis and Quality Assurance teams

Your skills and experience

Must have

- Extensive experience with Hadoop & Java related technologies
- Undestanding of Hadoop ecosystem and HDFS file System.
- Undestanding of different types of nodes in a Hadoop cluster.
- Experience with MapReduce framework.
- Experience with Hive, Pig, Impala, Spark SQL etc
- Experience with Apache Spark and Scala (preferably greater than version 2.0)
- Experience Spark job optimization
- Experience with File handling such as Avro/Parquet etc
- Experience on GCP including Composer, Data Proc, Big Query,
- good understaning of BEELINE command to connect to HIVE server Spring Batch/Core/Boot Extensive experience with atleaset one JavaEE application server Xml binding. Parsers and xml schemas/xpath/xslt Core java concepts such as lambdas and functional programming Tuning and Troubleshooting, experience with profiling and monitoring tools
- Experience with Messaging and integration, Patterns, REST, SOA Experience with build and deployment
- GIT/GIHub/Maven/Artifactory/Teamcity or Jenkins
- Unix scripting and hands on experience Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies

Nice to have

- Experience with cloud technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift, Azure
- Experience with end to end design and delivery of solutions Experience with UI frameworks like Angular or React RDBMS /Oracle design, development, tuning
