Introduction We are seeking a skilled, responsible, and customer-friendly X-Ray Technician cum Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The role involves performing diagnostic X-ray imaging as per medical guidelines while also managing front desk operations such as patient registration, appointment scheduling, billing, and customer support. The ideal candidate should be technically proficient, patient-focused, and possess strong communication skills. Key Responsibilities 1. X-Ray Imaging & Diagnostic Support Operate X-ray machines and related diagnostic equipment safely and effectively. Position patients correctly to obtain accurate diagnostic images. Ensure image quality by adhering to standard radiographic procedures. Maintain proper calibration and cleanliness of imaging equipment. Follow radiation safety protocols to protect patients, self, and staff. Coordinate with doctors and radiologists regarding reports and findings. 2. Patient Handling & Assistance Guide patients through the X-ray procedure while ensuring their comfort and safety. Explain procedures clearly to patients and address their concerns. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with medical ethics. 3. Front Office & Reception Duties Greet patients, visitors, and attendants in a polite and professional manner. Handle patient registration, appointment booking, and scheduling. Maintain records of daily patient inflow and diagnostic reports. Assist patients with billing, payments, and insurance-related queries. Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and manage appointment confirmations. 4. Record Keeping & Documentation Maintain accurate logs of diagnostic tests, reports, and patient records. Ensure digital archiving of X-ray images for easy retrieval and reference. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to diagnostic activities. 5. Coordination & Team Support Work closely with doctors, nurses, and radiologists to ensure smooth patient care. Communicate effectively with other departments for test scheduling and result delivery. Assist management in maintaining operational efficiency. Required Skills & Competencies Technical Skills Hands-on experience operating X-ray machines and diagnostic imaging tools. Knowledge of radiation safety standards and proper handling techniques. Familiarity with digital imaging software and report generation. Basic computer skills for managing patient records and appointments. Soft Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patient-friendly and empathetic approach. Ability to multitask between technical and administrative duties. Attention to detail and high accuracy in diagnostic work. Eligibility Criteria Education: Diploma / Certification in X-Ray / Radiology Technology from a recognized institute. Computer Skills: MS Office, basic billing software, and patient record management.
