Company Description Launched in 2007 by Aloke Bajpai Rajnish Kumar ixigo is a technology company focused on empowering Indian travelers to plan book and manage their trips across rail air buses and hotels ixigo assists travelers in making smarter travel decisions by leveraging artificial intelligence machine learning and data science-led innovations on ixigo s OTA platforms including websites and mobile applications ConfirmTkt and AbhiBus became a part of ixigo in 2021 ixigo is headquartered in Gurugram with offices in Bangalore ConfirmTkt and Hyderabad AbhiBus The ixigo ConfirmTkt and AbhiBus apps allow travellers to book train tickets flight tickets bus tickets hotels cabs and provide travel utility tools and services developed using in-house proprietary algorithms and crowd- sourced information In 2022 as per data ai ixigo was featured in the Top 10 most downloaded travel apps worldwide As a Software Engineer - Backend strong Product background you will play a critical role in the design planning development and deployment of software applications You will be responsible for all aspects of development and help develop best practices for future development You will work closely with Tech Design and Quality teams to build and launch the product You will code develop design and architect features related to the existing application We expect you to own modules end to end and take pride in the work products you ship You will design implement test and maintain highly scalable multi-tier distributed server software applications You will deliver across the entire app life cycle including design build deploy test release to app stores and support You will work directly with developers and product managers to conceptualize build test and release products You will take responsibility for the performance and stability of all the applications and related infrastructure You will continuously discover evaluate and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency Qualifications You should have at least an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Engineering preferably from IITs Top RECs You should have 3-5 years of experience at cutting-edge organizations or startups You should have expertise in Java J2EE technology You should have proficiency in the implementation of algorithms and the use of advanced data structures to solve problems in computing You should have experience with e-business e-commerce applications and business environments Any experience with internet companies or the travel industry will be a plus You should have a good understanding of Java J2EE and design patterns You should have strong knowledge of data structures and designing for performance scalability and availability You should have expertise in relational databases like MySQL or Postgres You should have knowledge in MongoDB and Web services You should have extensive use of Instruments and Shark to detect memory leaks and for performance optimization You should have a good grasp of algorithms memory management and multithreaded programming You should have experience in writing Unit tests Automation tests Having exposure to Test Driven Development is a plus You should have great people skills You should be able to fit in well within an informal startup environment and provide hands-on management You should have a high energy level and untiring commitment to drive oneself the team towards goals Additional Information Candidates are responsible for safeguarding sensitive company data against unauthorized access use or disclosure and for reporting any suspected security incidents in line with the organization s ISMS Information Security Management System policies and procedures
