Job Title: Junior Data Scientist (Contract)
Location: Hybrid (Kolkata, West Bengal, India)
Tenure: 1 to 3 months
Working Hours:Aligned withCanada time zone
Language Requirement: Fluent in English (written and spoken) must be able to communicate effectively with international teams and clients.
Salary: Based on industry standards
About the Role
We are seeking a highlymotivated Junior Data Scientiston ashort-term contractto support our data and product teams. You will work on real datasets, build AI/ML models, and generate actionable insights.
- Work closely with teams to understand business requirements.
- Analyze structured and unstructured datasets to identify trends and patterns.
- Assist in developing AI/ML models for practical applications.
- Generate insights and visualizations to guide business decisions.
- Present findings clearly to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze datasets from multiple sources.
- Build, train, and test machine learning and AI models.
- Generate actionable insights through visualizations and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on ongoing projects.
- Present results and recommendations clearly and concisely.
Requirements
- Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualization libraries (Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly).
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar).
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and ability to work independently.
