Who You Are

Required Technical and Professional Experience

- 7 to 10 years of experience, Expertise in data mining, data storage and Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) processes
- Experience in data pipelines development and tooling, e.g., Glue, Databricks, Synapse, or DataPro
- Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases, PostgreSQL, DB2, MongoDB
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

- Elastic (ELK) Stack and Data Platform Management: Administer and Maintain Data components (Indices/Shards) as per standard operational procedures. Setup Watcher alerts
- Identify and recommend data sources to be backed up using Snapshot Lifecycle Management (SLM) as part of regular data backups and archival.
- Provide data administration support during new data source integration or ingestion.
- Provide recommendations on cluster scale-up/down base on JVM heap changes, Index shards count, replica shards count, shard size etc.
- Configure & Enable SSL inter node communication in cluster to secure the traffic between each node in the cluster.
- Manage High Availability using CCR (Cross cluster replication) setup as applicable (Subject to the supporting infrastructure) and Snapshot & Recovery.
- Conduct security compliance activities as per mutually agreed security policies. Harden the Data fabric components in case there is any gap.
- Recommend potential enhancements to the ELK Platform.
- Data Lifecycle Management: Hot, Warm, Cold and Delete policy creation, Configuration and management, Automate Roll over policy, configuration and management, Storage/Platform Tiering policy, configuration and management, Health Check & Patch Management: Help with analysis of environment health as per agreed technical specifications and per specified timeline in SOW.
- PostgreSQL DB Administration and Configuration: Assist with minor upgrade activities related to PostgreSQL Servers, Assist with Capacity planning
- Automation, Assist with automation of PostgreSQL DB tasks and all frequent manual tasks. Other automation tasks could be taken up upon detailed knowledge of the Client application environment is known.
- Health / Metrics Check. Help with analysis of environment health as per agreed technical specifications and per specified timeline in SOW.
- Troubleshooting: Analyse slow queries and provide optimization recommendations to app team.
- Optimization Performance bottleneck in PostgreSQL, Tuning the queries to improve DB instance performance,Gathering the statistics of the tables. Using recommended hints for queries optimization. Instance usage & performance tuning. Recommending Data Caching strategy. Query Optimization.
