Job Description Position: Assistant Product Developer Objective: Manage fabric sourcing, coordinate samples, support project planning, and collaborate with cross- functional teams to ensure timely product development. Job Responsibilities - Managing and assisting fabric sourcing activities - Assisting the PM with email management, meeting deadlines, and overseeing project planning and completion - Conducting research on new fabric concepts and silhouettes relevant to the department - Coordinating samples, strike-offs, and other design-related elements - Involvement in CAD work for embroideries, new silhouettes, and artworks - Organizing mill visits and coordinating meetings Position Requirements - Experience in a previous fashion role (e.g., fabric sourcing, design, product development) - Highly organized and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment - Self-motivated and capable of working independently - Comprehensive understanding of fabric types and mills - Collaborative and a strong team player - Confident speaker and presenter - Punctual and a clear communicator - Competent in Adobe systems - Fluency in Tamil language would be an added advantage Other Key Notes Regarding the Role: - This role is primarily within the children's wear department, so a keen eye for newness in kids wear and babywear is desirable. - The role involves working closely with the Product Manager on a daily basis, while also collaborating with the wider Product Team (including PMs and Assistants) and the general merchandising team within the department.
