Job Description About the Role We are seeking a high-potential Technical Business Analyst based in Hyderabad who is passionate about technology and excited to work at the intersection of business needs and IT delivery. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering impactful solutions within our Life & Health reinsurance business. This is not your average BA role - you'll be deeply involved in process improvements, data analytics, quality assurance, and driving forward automation and transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities Business Analysis - Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed business and system requirements. - Translate business needs into clear and concise technical specifications. - Facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews to validate solution design and requirements. - Support data dictionary and metadata governance processes for analytical and operational datasets. - Work closely with developers, architects, and data engineers to align delivery with business expectations. - Define test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and detailed test cases in coordination with business and technical teams. - Perform hands-on functional, regression, and data testing of new features and data pipelines. - Coordinate UAT activities and obtain business signoffs. - Investigate defects and data inconsistencies, working closely with dev teams for resolution. - Help shape and enforce automated testing practices and CI/CD pipelines. - Be a proxy to business users in testing the application Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field. - 4-12 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Software Quality Assurance Analyst, preferably in insurance/reinsurance or financial services. - Working knowledge of SQL, data validation, and working with structured datasets (e.g., actuarial or treaty data). - Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, Postman, or automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, PyTest) is a plus. - Demonstrated understanding in requirements gathering, test planning, test execution, and defect management. - Experience with reinsurance or insurance operations is highly desirable.
