Job Description

Digital Marketing Intern: SEO, Outreach & Conversion Strategy

Duration & Compensation:

Duration: 3 months (extendable based on performance)

Type: Paid Internship with strong possibility of Pre-Placement Offer (PPO)

Stipend: Based on your experience and learning curve

About Us: The Merc is a product-focused design studio that partners with SaaS companies, startups, and founders to craft clean, strategic digital experiences. Were now expanding our growth and client performance capabilities, and looking for an ambitious digital marketing intern to join us on that journey.

What Youll Do:

Youll work directly with the founder and get hands-on exposure across 3 core areas:

1. SEO Strategy & Implementation

Assist in keyword research, content optimization, and technical SEO audits

Help analyze traffic data and suggest on-page improvements

2. Direct Outreach & Demand Generation

Learn and support direct outreach strategies using tools like Smartlead, Instantly, etc.

Help personalize messaging for outbound campaigns (emails, LinkedIn, etc.)

Research and build lead lists for cold outreach

3. Conversion Optimization for Clients

Assist in improving landing pages for higher conversions (strategy, not design)

Work on funnel analysis and user behavior to suggest optimizations

Collaborate with design and strategy teams to execute A/B tests

What Were Looking For:

Strong interest in digital marketing, growth, and conversion strategy

Basic understanding of SEO, email marketing, or landing page funnels is a plus

Hunger to learn, experiment, and build real-world skills

Strong communication and research skills

Proactive, self-driven, and detail-oriented mindset
