THE ROLE As a Technical Writer in this role, you will create clear and high-quality documentation while collaborating with globally dispersed teams across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. You will actively participate in the product development lifecycle, identify features requiring documentation, and track progress to meet strict release deadlines. You will support colleagues through reviews, feedback, and editorial contributions, while exploring emerging technologies at both the product and industry level. Hands-on interaction with engineers and practical experience with production systems will be key to understanding features. The role suits someone with a go-getter attitude, eager to learn, improve processes, and deliver optimized, high-quality documentation. What You'll Do - Creates and updates hardware docs such as Service Guides, Upgrade Guides, Installation Guides, Technical Specifications, Site Preparation Guides, etc. - Collaborates with technical teams to prioritize documentation and ensures content aligns with branding and style guides. - Manages documentation from creation to publishing, utilizing Jira, Confluence, and CCMS. - Create diagrams and illustrations - Coordinates with global teams and reviews/edits colleagues documentation. - Mentors technical writers and incorporates feedback from customers, engineers, and support. - Structures content for reuse, promoting best practices like SEO, analytics, and HTML. - Possesses strong problem-solving, critical thinking, relationship-building, and listening skills, with focus on customer satisfaction. - Supports release cycles with timely documentation, identifies content gaps in sales materials, and assists with feature content for client presentations. What You Bring - 5+ years of experience in technical writing for hardware and networking products - Must have demonstrated experience writing documentation in CCMS (Dita) - Exemplary writing and editing skills with an emphasis on writing for technical audiences - Demonstrates a strong desire to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving documentation requirements, ensuring the content remains updated and valuable. - Focussed on top-notch quality documents delivery within the stipulated timelines - Experience with migrating documentation during tool/platform transitions, and with structuring content for maximum reuse. - Advocating for and implementing improved documentation practices, such as SEO optimization and analytics for user engagement. - Strong understanding of documentation standards and practices. - Manage multiple projects simultaneously within strict deadlines. - Excellent english writing and communication skills Experience using AI tools to accelerate documentation processes and perform quality checks is preferred. A basic understanding of storage technologies and the storage domain is good to have. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and working in sprint-based environments is preferred. Hands-on experience with graphic tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Snagit, Visio, or similar is good to have.
