SSC Sustainability Technical Specialist Job Title Internal SSC Sustainability Technical Specialist Entity Bureau Veritas Industrial Services Location Mumbai Reports to job Team Lead SSC Operation Manager functionally to Sustainability Service Line Introduction of Bureau Veritas and the company s mission Bureau Veritas is a world leader in Testing Inspection and Certification TIC sector Our mission Shaping a World of Trust is at the heart of the world s key challenges defending quality health and safety environmental protection and social responsibility for everyone Through our wide range of expertise impartiality and independence we foster confidence between companies public authorities and clients Bureau Veritas is a Business to Business to Society service company contributing to transforming the world we live in Driven by society we are working ever more closely with our clients addressing today s crucial challenges and answering society s aspirations Sustainability has been identified as a priority growth driver for the Group The ambition is to position Bureau Veritas as an undisputed leader and expert in Sustainability To achieve this ambitious objective the Group has started to develop a full suite of high added-value solutions to better address the needs of its clients related to Sustainability under a new strategic initiative Purpose of Position BV Sustainability Service Line is recruiting a SSC Sustainability Specialist Sustainability His or her main responsibility is to review environment and social related documents of Second party suppliers so that Master Clients of Bureau Veritas are able to manage supplier qualification that complies with their own sustainability assurance policies This specialist will also have the opportunity to work with internal stakeholders to develop more sustainability evaluation and onboard other technical specialists both internal and external by training them on the defined evaluation methodology Major Responsibilities To carry out Reviews of Audit report SAQ Supplier Assessment Questionnaire as per the defined procedures that may include a few domain specific technical checkpoints and admin reviews whenever required Raising defects sending defects to supplier site BV network for rectification follow-up closure of rectified documents Answer supplier inquiry regarding the evaluation methodology and review process BV internal Document Management Workflow tools updates database updates Maintaining any work related production sheets data Non conformity document review and closure Providing necessary support to Country related to Program Contribute to monitoring of the end to end process for the scheme being handled Feedback to Country on findings during Reviews Training new members within team including members from other BV offices Review of supporting management system document Work with internal experts on various sustainability topics and create new evaluation content Criteria for Performance Evaluation KPIs Number of reviews performed within the SLAs Feedback on quality of reviews Training sessions conducted for addressing knowledge gaps feedback from customers Ability to cater to different unique master client requirements potential to grow in the organisation for leading GSL SSC initiatives Number of new members onboarded Number of new evaluation content created Qualification and Experience BSc MSc Preferable in sustainability related subjects such as environmental sciences political studies social sciences etc Knowledgeable and passion on Sustainability topics Preferably QMS Lead Auditor for Environmental Management System and or ISO45001 Skills Qualities Excellent communication skills in English - oral and written Comfortable in communicating mostly in writing with external parties Thoroughness and rigor in work Good analytical and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented Time management skills and ability to self-manage Agile and flexible Ability to assume ownership of projects Good MS Excel and MS Word knowledge Effective Team Player 0
