IT InfrastructureJob Location - BangaloreJob SummaryThe Director of IT Infrastructure is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the planning implementation and management of Kennametals IT infrastructure This includes networks servers hardware software data centers and related technologies The individual in this role will play a crucial part in ensuring the availability reliability security and scalability of the Kennametals IT systems to support business operations and strategic objectives Key Job ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning Develop and implement a comprehensive IT infrastructure strategy aligned with the Kennametals business objectives with a focus on risk mitigation and business continuity Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to understand technology needs and recommend solutions for enhancing overall business efficiency Team Leadership Manage and lead a team of IT professionals providing guidance mentorship and fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment aligned with Kennametals Cultural Beliefs Oversee recruitment training and development of the IT infrastructure staff ensuring team skills are aligned with technology requirements and strategic emerging technologies Infrastructure Management Ensure the design implementation and maintenance of robust and scalable IT infrastructure including networks servers storage and cloud services Monitor system performance and security implementing improvements as necessary Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices Financial Management Develop and manage the IT infrastructure budget forecast ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with organizational priorities including long term strategic financial planning aligned with the overall IT strategy Evaluate and recommend technology investments to support current and future business needs while meeting return on investment ROI objectives Vendor Management Collaborate with vendors to negotiate contracts evaluate service levels and ensure the timely delivery of quality products and services Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to make informed vendor selections Project Management Oversee the planning and execution of IT infrastructure projects ensuring they are completed on time within budget and meet established goals Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate infrastructure solutions into overall business processes Security and Compliance Partner with the IT Security Compliance Team to implement and maintain robust security measures to protect the organization s IT infrastructure from cyber threats Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards conducting regular audits and assessments Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for critical IT systems Conduct regular testing and drills to validate the effectiveness of these plans IT Operations Manage and lead IT Service Management Help Desk ensuring compliance with Kennametal standards industry regulations and best practices Establish and monitor key performance indicators KPIs to measure service quality utilize internal tools and processes to drive resolution efficiency and ensure resources are allocated to meet internal service level agreements SLAs Education Work Experience Skills CertificatesYears of Relevant Work Experience Required 15 YearsRequired Skills Proven experience in IT infrastructure management with a track record of successful leadership in similar roles Strong understanding of networking server technologies virtualization cloud computing and related infrastructure components Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Cursory knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security measures Demonstrated ability to manage budgets negotiate contracts and drive cost-effective solutions Project management skills and experience overseeing large-scale IT projects Strong analytical skills problem-solving abilities and negotiation skills Preferred Areas of Education Certifications Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field Advanced degree or relevant certifications e g CISSP PMP are a plus Equal Opportunity Employer
