persistence explore a career with us What you ll be doing We re looking for a visionary and strategic Associate Director Technology Communications and Market Intelligence Verizon Business Group This strategic external communication role will lead the development of a market intelligence program and support the team in translating complex technology and vertical solutions into compelling media narratives In this pivotal role you ll be responsible for developing a market intelligence program that analyzes Verizon Business Group s key solutions in networking IoT security and generative and agentic AI against the broader industry landscape Furthermore this role will leverage the market intelligence and collaborate with the broader communication team to develop compelling media narratives and campaigns that will produce sustained and impactful media coverage You ll work closely with communications analyst relations product marketing engineering and sales teams to identify key narratives craft engaging content and amplify our messaging and coverage across various platforms What we re looking for The ideal candidate is a highly curious self-motivated creative storyteller with deep enterprise B2B technology and industry acumen and a proven ability to translate technical concepts into clear impactful and compelling messages You ll possess a strong understanding of technology trends and vertical-specific challenges enabling you to tailor our stories to meet the unique needs of different sectors Key Responsibilities Creating a market intelligence program that delivers and an outside in perspective for the following key solutions networking IoT security and AI and verticals healthcare manufacturing retail sports and entertainment transportation and banking Leading the creation of compelling stories that showcase our technology s value impact and differentiation across AI networking security and vertical solutions Leveraging deep understanding of industry trends and vertical-specific pain points to craft targeted and relevant narratives that resonate with specific customer segments Developing high-quality content including thought leadership articles press releases bylines blogs and interview scripts Partnering effectively with product management engineering marketing sales and executive leadership to ensure consistent messaging and maximize content impact Collaborating with the PR team to develop messaging and materials for media briefings Defining key performance indicators KPIs and regularly analyze the effectiveness of communication initiatives optimizing strategies based on insights You ll need to have Bachelor s degree in Communications Marketing Journalism or a related field Six or more years of relevant experience required demonstrated through one or a combination of work and or military experience or specialized training 6 years of experience in a communications leadership role with a strong focus on enterprise or service provider technology Proven ability to craft clear concise and engaging narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences Even better if you have one or more of the following Master s degree preferred A genuine curiosity about technology and a continuous desire to learn and understand complex technical concepts Solid understanding following technology AI networking security IoT and various industry verticals and the unique challenges and opportunities within them Strong strategic and critical thinking and the ability to translate business goals into effective communication plans The ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization Experience working in a fast-paced dynamic environment If you are a strategic
