About the Role

Our Client is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer – Data Hosting to join our India team. This role is critical in delivering modern digital data hosting capabilities that are cost-effective, reliable, and secure. You will play a key role in designing and managing scalable cloud solutions and collaborating with data teams to support Our Client's evolving data infrastructure needs.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure data hosting solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Develop and maintain data architectures, including data lakes, data models, and data warehouses.
- Optimize data storage and extraction methods to improve performance and cost efficiency.
- Implement and enforce data security measures in compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and ensure the high availability and reliability of data hosting environments.
- Automate data workflows and operations using Azure Data Factory and related technologies.
- Design, develop, and deploy modular, cloud-native systems following cloud engineering best practices.
- Maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and scripting languages.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8+ years of overall IT experience with 5–10 years specifically in data hosting environments.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering and management across both on-premises and Azure platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Azure services:
- Azure SQL Database
- Azure Blob Storage
- Azure Data Lake
- Azure Synapse Analytics
- Azure Data Factory
- Solid understanding of Azure infrastructure: virtual networks, compute, storage, and cloud architecture.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, Ansible, and Azure CLI.
- Experience working with on-premise storage systems (NetApp, Dell, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of Azure security best practices, including access management, encryption, and compliance.
- Certifications Required:
- Microsoft AZ-900 (Azure Fundamentals)
- Microsoft AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate)
