Principal Cloud Engineer

Your Role Responsibilities You will be responsible for the technical solution sizing and implementation operations approaches as part of the day to day activities Lead face to face conversations with regards to Cloud with Internal External stake holders and technology leaders Leading PoC landscape assessment and early-stage technology implementation projects Creating and maintaining full-stack solutions demonstrations within our multiple environments Leading reviews and technical evaluations of solution architectures ensuring proposed solutions are scalable robust and secure This responsibility can go beyond SRE DevOps Cloud Infra sometimes Supporting Delivery teams in the resolution root-cause identification and identification of preventative and corrective measures for exceptional critical customer impacting issues Acting as a trusted advisor a mentor and guru to stakeholders and internal teams You will support our skilling and thought-leadership programs Running workshops creating publishing and presenting white papers technical documents best practices and points of view Be part of the Solution Architect Team and work with them on regular basis to optimize the cost efficiency resiliency availability etc to make all our environments better perform in Azure A strong Project Management approach is necessary to track report and ensure timely completion of all activities and ensure suitable reporting and dashboards are maintained to track and report individual and team progress and performance Qualifications Experience Minimum Requirements A detailed understanding of the Microsoft Cloud with a focus on Azure and how they are engineered to work together is necessary for this role Candidates should have a minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in a similar kind of technical role Successful candidates must be able to apply their experience to solve business issues create excited customers and build commercially viable products The Cloud business is continually changing so continual learning and ability to research new topics is critical for success in this role Good understanding of how the entire Infra ecosystem works Network Storage Compute in both cloud and on-prem is a basic requirement for this role Hands-on detailed experience in creation of winning solutions across technologies The Azure Data AI stack especially focusing on the complete breadth of Microsoft Fabric Foundry and the Azure OpenAI stack Supports the architects in the design of Amadeus products and solutions running on IAAS PAAS SAAS layers of public and or private clouds The Microsoft application modernization stack including cloud-native architectures agent and agentic solutions and AI UI The candidate should have experience in similar technical architecture roles focused on the Microsoft cloud ecosystem Candidates should hold relevant Microsoft and Industry body certifications Necessary Skills Celebrates team first and individual successes and creates a safe environment for constructive feedback Ability to be collaborative and collegial and possess the confidence to make tough decisions Inclusive and collaborative driving teamwork and cross-team alignment and building relationships and networks across the various ecosystems to leverage ideas and best practice Ability to work flexibly among quickly changing priorities while consistently delivering to tight deadlines Strong executive presence including written communication executive reporting and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort to large and small technical audiences Anticipates problems and sees how a problem and its solution will affect other projects people or processes Understanding end to end architecture of the ecosystem is very much essential to this role Should not only be able to identify and document dependencies conflicts roadblocks and issues but solve them focusing on agreed deadlines Must be able to set own priorities follow-through and work towards agreed targets with minimum supervision Technology is rapidly changing and evolving and successful candidates must take responsibility for the continual development of their own skills Methodical approach to detail is important Should be able to identify sources of data and analyze information from multiple sources including technological trends buyer behaviors and financial performance to create actionable and positive recommendations
