Job Description

Primary Title: Machine Learning Engineer

Industry & Sector: A high-growth company in the Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning software sector building production-grade AI systems that deliver intelligent automation, predictive analytics, and real-time decisioning for enterprise customers. We develop end-to-end ML servicesfrom data ingestion and model training to low-latency inference and monitoring.

Location & Workplace: Bangalore

Role & Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and productionize ML models and pipelines: feature engineering, training, evaluation, and deployment for real-world systems.
- Implement scalable model serving solutions (REST/gRPC) using containers and orchestration tools to deliver low-latency inference in production.
- Collaborate with data engineers and product teams to build reliable data ingestion, validation, and ETL processes that feed model training and retraining workflows.
- Build and maintain MLOps practices: CI/CD for models, automated testing, model versioning, and rollout strategies (canary/A-B testing).
- Instrument model monitoring and alerting for drift, performance regressions, and data quality issues; lead root-cause analysis and remediation.
- Drive engineering excellence: write clean, tested code, document model limitations, and contribute to design reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

- 3-4 years professional experience building and deploying ML models in production environments.
- Strong Python programming skills and experience with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow.
- Practical experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) for model serving.
- Familiarity with MLOps tooling: CI/CD for ML, model versioning (MLflow or similar), and automated retraining pipelines.
- Experience building data pipelines and working with SQL and NoSQL data stores.

Preferred

- Hands-on experience with cloud ML services (AWS SageMaker, GCP AI Platform, or Azure ML) and managed data services.
- Knowledge of advanced topics: transfer learning, RAG/retrieval-augmented models, online/streaming inference, or reinforcement learning.
- Experience with observability tooling for ML: Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry, or custom monitoring solutions.
