AKS Design Co. is a Goa-based architecture, interior design, and turnkey execution studio specialising in luxury villas, residential interiors, and execution-led projects. We focus on strong design fundamentals, technical detailing, and on-ground execution quality. Role Overview We are looking for a Senior Interior Designer / Design Coordinator who can take ownership of design development, working drawings, and site coordination. This role is execution-focused and requires strong technical understanding, decision-making ability, and leadership over junior designers. This is not a purely conceptual role. The candidate must be comfortable working closely with sites, vendors, and execution teams. Key Responsibilities Design & Drawings - Prepare and review detailed working drawings (AutoCAD) - Ensure drawings are accurate, executable, and site-ready - Coordinate with junior designers for drafting, revisions, and corrections - Maintain AKS drawing standards, formats, legends, and documentation Site Coordination - Visit sites regularly and coordinate with the execution team - Resolve on-site design challenges with practical solutions - Ensure execution is as per approved drawings and design intent - Flag discrepancies between site conditions and drawings proactively Team Management - Guide and supervise junior designers (Nirmal, Kabir, Ruth) - Review work before it goes to site or client - Reduce repetitive errors through training and feedback Vendor & Material Coordination - Coordinate with vendors for materials, finishes, and detailing - Assist in material selection, specifications, and approvals - Support BOQs, measurements, and execution detailing Client Support - Assist in design discussions and presentations when required - Address client queries related to design and execution Required Skills & Experience - 3-4 years of experience in interior design with execution exposure - Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory) - Experience with villas / turnkey / residential projects - Solid understanding of materials, finishes, and construction methods - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Strong communication and coordination skills Software Skills - AutoCAD – Mandatory - SketchUp / 3D tools – Preferred - Basic BOQ & measurement knowledge – Preferred Who Should Apply - Designers who enjoy technical detailing & execution - Designers who take ownership and responsibility - Designers comfortable managing sites and junior teams - Designers looking for long-term growth, not freelance work Who Should NOT Apply - Fresh graduates - Designers looking for remote or freelance roles - Designers focused only on concepts or Instagram visuals Salary Salary will be based on experience, skill level, and interview performance How to Apply Please send your resume + portfolio to: 📧 contact@aksdesignco.com Shortlisted candidates will be called for an in-person interview in Goa.
