Job Description We are looking for an ACCA Affiliate. Job Purpose - To support foreign firms in their audit function and to carry out audit in accordance with the Dutch GAAP, their methodology and tools. - To assist the team lead in conducting the audits as per his/her directions and as per the instructions given by the foreign firms. Accountabilities And Responsibilities - Helping team lead in preparing Audit Plan and Strategy Memorandum for the assigned clients. - Execution of project as per audit plan. - To perform procedures on financial statement accounts and transactions, such as cash, operating expenses (OPEX), revenue, accounts receivable (including bad debt) accounts payable, loans, tangible fixed assets and other liabilities and accruals/other receivables. - To provide inputs team lead for preparing progress report on work status and timely escalation of critical matters, if any. - To interact with foreign clients during interim audits, under assistance of a supervisor. - Ensuring completion of audit within the specified time frames, budget and to the expected quality standards. Keep Team Lead informed if there are any variation from the planned jobs and timelines due to unforeseen or know reasons. - Participating in the meetings to discuss observations / issues with the stakeholders along with the team lead. - Obtaining and maintaining sufficient appropriate audit evidence and supporting documents including documentation of audit program. - Ensuring the completeness of the audit file as per the quality policy of the firm. - Helping team lead in filing and maintenance of all records, documents, etc. relating to the assigned engagement. - Ensuring the timely submission of timesheet. - Readiness to travel for assignments (to Netherlands or other destinations), when required, as per the directions of the foreign firms. Skills And Knowledge Educational qualifications & certifications Necessary Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Good to have None in specific, but any certification in allied areas such as risk management, information systems audit or forensics. Relevant (functional/level) And Total Years Of Experience Relevant Experience: Atleast 6 months Total Experience: up to 1 year Functional Skills Good understanding and application of Accounting and Auditing Standards (knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) / International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) /US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP)/ International Standards on Auditing (ISA) [by preference]). Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (at least Excel and Word). Working knowledge of basic accounting software. Behavioural Skills Analytical / probing skills, conceptual thinking, critical thinking. Aptitude to pick up new practices and concepts quickly. Strong communication and presentation skills. Participative and team player. Self-driven, proactive, and ready to take initiatives. Quick adaptation to Dutch GAAP and ability to pick up the working styles of foreign firms. This role is open to ACCA Affiliates only and is not suitable for ACCA Students or Members
