Job Title: Data Engineer Scala + Spark

Location: Bangalore (Hybrid/On-site)

Experience: 5 to 8 Years (Minimum 4 Years of Relevant Experience in Scala & Spark)

Budget: Up to 25 LPA

Notice Period: Immediate to 30 Days Max

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Data Engineer with strong expertise in Scala, Apache Spark, and SQL to join our growing data team in Bangalore. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about building scalable data solutions, optimizing large data pipelines, and working with modern big data technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines using Scala and Apache Spark
- Work on batch and real-time data processing systems
- Implement complex data transformations, aggregations, and enrichment logic using Spark
- Collaborate with data analysts, product managers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality data solutions
- Optimize queries and Spark jobs for performance and scalability
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across pipelines
- Write and maintain complex SQL queries for data extraction and validation

Mandatory Skills:

- Scala Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience
- Apache Spark Strong development experience (Core + SQL + Streaming preferred)
- SQL Advanced level for querying, data manipulation, and performance tuning
- Strong understanding of data engineering principles and best practices
- Good knowledge of data modeling, ETL workflows, and big data ecosystem

Good to Have (Optional):

- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Exposure to Airflow, Kafka, or similar tools
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices

Eligibility Criteria:

- Total Experience: 5 to 8 years
- Relevant Experience: Minimum 4 years in Scala + Spark
- Location: Must be willing to work from Bangalore
- Joining Time: Immediate joiners preferred (Max 30 days notice period)
- Compensation: Up to 25 LPA based on experience and skill fit
