Job Description and Person Specification 1. Job Details - Job Title: Executive - Video Editor - Area: Center for E-Learning - Location: MIT WPU, Pune - Reporting Authority: Assistant Manager - Editor 2. Job Purpose - Record videos during events. - Create video content for digital marketing related to social initiatives, both before, during, and after events. 3. Key Accountabilities Strategic - Create audio-visual content related to social initiatives at MITWPU. Operational - Proven work experience as a Video Editor. - Hands-on experience with editing software (Adobe Premiere 2022, Adobe After Effects 2022, Final Cut Pro X). - Understanding of filmmaking, pre-production, production, and editing processes. - Skills in creative GIF making, doodling, and motion graphics. - Familiarity with special effects, 3D compositing, and motion graphics. - Strong portfolio demonstrating video editing ability. - Knowledge of timing, motivation, continuity, and storytelling through audiovisuals. - Film videos on set or on location; ensure equipment is available and functional. - Edit footage in post-production and organize project files efficiently. - Use keyboard shortcuts for efficient editing. - Pay special attention to music and voice-over integration. - Export final output in various formats (Full HD, SD, webcasting). - Deliver final output promptly to concerned departments and social media teams. Financial and Budget - Not applicable. Collaborations - Work closely with the creative team to plan, film, and edit video content. - Ensure all filming equipment is available and working; direct camera operatorsas needed. - Share rough cuts with concerned persons and incorporate feedback for final output. 4. Academic Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor’s degree or diploma in any domain. - MBA/PGDM in Advertising or Mass Communication preferred. - Certification in video editing from a reputed institute or 1-3 years of relevant experience. - Strong flair for editing and visual effects with adaptability to a fast-paced environment. - Ability to produce accurate content under tight deadlines. - Creative thinker with storytelling skills. - Effective communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. - Experience in the education sector is a plus. - Proficiency with editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Motion Graphics, After Effects). - MS Office proficiency. - Proficient with camera equipment.
