The Head of Digital and Data Protection will be responsible for overseeing the company's digital transformation initiatives and ensuring the security and privacy of all data assets. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to protect sensitive information, managing digital projects, and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.

Key responsibilities

1. Digital Strategy & Business Transformation:

- Identify significant interventions and benchmark industry standards.
- Re-engineer business processes and operating models.
- Plan and implement digital initiatives.
- Lead the development and implementation of digital strategies to enhance business operations and customer experience.
- Oversee the integration of new digital tools and platforms.
- Collaborate with various departments to identify and prioritize digital initiatives.
- Identify significant interventions and benchmark industry standards.
- Re-engineer business processes and operating models.

1. Data Protection:

- Develop and enforce data protection policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with local and international data protection regulations (e.g., DPDP, GDPR).
- Conduct regular data protection audits and risk assessments.
- Manage data breach incidents and implement corrective actions.

1. Leadership and Management:

- Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals.
- Provide training and awareness programs on data protection and digital best practices.
- Collaborate with senior management to align digital and data protection strategies with business goals.
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including technology partners, vendors, and regulatory bodies.

1. Stakeholder Management:

- Act as the primary point of contact for data protection authorities and external stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding data protection issues and digital initiatives.

Who are we looking for?

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, M. tech, B. tech or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Professional certifications in data protection (e.g., CIPP, CIPM) and project management (e.g., PMP) are highly desirable.

Experience:

- Minimum of 15 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on digital transformation and data protection.
- In-depth knowledge of data protection regulations and best practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Experience in Real estate industry would be preferred

Skills:

- Strategic Thinking: Identify and execute significant digital changes.
- Execution Orientation: Facilitate transformation initiatives and foster relationships with stakeholders.

Leadership & Soft Skills:

- Thought leadership towards identifying pockets of significant interventions
- Excellent understanding of digital technologies and trends.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- High level of integrity and ethical standards.
- Immersive in emerging technologies and well-connected in the tech industry.
- Natural flair for data sciences, analytics, and AI.

Should have worked on digital initiatives, aware of leading CRM tools (Salesforce in particular), experience in leading team for development of bespoke applications, mobile apps etc.

Experience of New age technology like Gen AI, Generative designs would be great
