OverviewThe School Admission Counsellor plays a pivotal role in the educational institution by guiding potential students and their families through the admission process This position combines expertise in educational practices with exceptional communication skills to ensure that candidates receive all necessary information regarding programs application procedures and the school s values A successful admission counsellor not only provides insights but also helps to identify the best fit between student aspirations and the institution s offerings Moreover they play an essential role in enhancing the institution s image through positive interactions with prospective families By effectively managing inquiries and showcasing the unique opportunities available the School Admission Counsellor contributes significantly to the school s enrollment goals and overall community engagement Key Responsibilities Conduct one-on-one consultations with prospective students and their families Provide thorough information on school programs courses and extracurricular activities Assist with the completion of application forms and required documentation Evaluate student profiles and recommend suitable programs Organize and conduct campus tours for prospective students Manage communication channels with prospective families via phone email and in-person meetings Develop and implement outreach strategies to attract potential students Participate in admission events open houses and recruitment fairs Maintain detailed records of interactions and applicant status updates Collaborate with faculty and administration to ensure alignment with school goals Monitor industry trends and competitor offerings to enhance school positioning Provide feedback to administration regarding admission processes and potential improvements Assist in resolving concerns or issues raised by prospective students or parents Prepare reports on admission metrics and student demographics Ensure compliance with regulations and school policies during the admission process Required Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Education Psychology or related field Proven experience in counselling admissions or education sector roles Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong understanding of the educational landscape and school systems Ability to build rapport with students and families Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and admission management software Strong analytical and organizational skills Experience in marketing or outreach programs is a plus Capable of handling multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently Knowledge of diversity and inclusion principles Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment Experience with public speaking and presentations Strong ethical standards and confidentiality practices Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends Familiarity with CRM systems is advantageous Genuine enthusiasm for helping students achieve their educational goals
