Job Overview We are looking for Diploma Mechanical Engineering freshers to join our Quality Department in an automotive manufacturing company located near Guduvanchery. The selected candidates will be responsible for assisting in quality inspection, measurement, and documentation to ensure that products meet the required standards and specifications. This is an excellent opportunity for fresh diploma holders to start their career in the automobile manufacturing industry and gain hands-on experience in quality control processes and instruments handling. Key Responsibilities 1. Quality Inspection and Measurement Perform visual and dimensional inspections of automotive components. Use basic measuring instruments like Vernier Caliper, Screw Gauge, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, and Dial Indicators. Verify that products meet engineering drawings and customer specifications. Assist senior quality engineers in conducting First Piece Inspection (FPI) and Final Quality Checks. 2. Quality Data Recording & Documentation Record inspection results, rejection reports, and corrective actions accurately. Maintain proper documentation of inspection reports, quality logs, and measurement sheets. Support the preparation of quality-related documentation for audits and reviews. 3. Process Monitoring & Defect Identification Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards. Identify defective parts and segregate them from good products. Report deviations and assist the quality team in implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). 4. Coordination with Production & Quality Teams Work closely with the production team to ensure quality parameters are followed. Provide feedback on defective products to prevent recurring issues. Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) along with senior quality engineers. 5. Learning & Skill Development Gain knowledge of automotive quality standards and inspection techniques. Learn about 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and ISO standards. Get trained in advanced measurement techniques and quality tools. Required Skills and Competencies Technical Skills Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering principles. Ability to handle measuring instruments such as: Vernier Caliper Screw Gauge Micrometer Height Gauge Bore Gauge Understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances. Familiarity with quality parameters and inspection procedures (training will be provided). Soft Skills Good communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies. Attention to detail and accuracy in measurement. Ability to work in a team and follow instructions. Positive attitude and eagerness to build a career in the quality domain.
