Job Description Senior ABAP / RAP Developer Position Title: Senior ABAP / RAP Developer Location: Remote Experience Required: Minimum 6 years Employment Type: Full-time Role Overview We are seeking a Senior ABAP / RAP Developer with deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA backend development and strong understanding of SAP extensibility models (in-app and side-by-side extensions via SAP BTP). Experience in SAP Fiori/UI5 development is a plus but not mandatory. The role focuses on delivering upgrade-safe, high-performance solutions aligned with SAP's Clean Core principles. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and optimize ABAP programs including CDS Views, OData services, and RAP-based applications. - Apply SAP extensibility models for creating secure and upgrade-compliant solutions. - Collaborate with functional consultants and architects to translate requirements into technical designs. - Perform performance tuning, debugging, and issue resolution. - Deliver solutions compliant with SAP Public/Private Cloud development guidelines. - Create clear technical documentation and ensure best practices are followed. Required Skills & Experience - Minimum 6 years of SAP ABAP development experience. - Strong expertise in: - Object-Oriented ABAP - Core Data Services (CDS) and ABAP SQL - OData services development - ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) - SAP extensibility models (in-app and side-by-side via BTP) - Familiarity with CI/CD, gCTS, and version control (Git). - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams. Good to Have - Experience in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud projects. - SAP Fiori Elements / SAPUI5 development skills. - Knowledge of CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model). - SAP Development Certifications.
