At Medtronic you can begin a life-long career of exploration and innovation while helping champion healthcare access and equity for all Youll lead with purpose breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected compassionate world A Day in the Life Careers that Change Lives SUMMARY OF POSITION The Senior Software Engineer will be a member of the Engineering R D team working on the software development and support of medical devices Works closely with other members of the engineering staff to provide technical solutions to engineering problems The Senior Software Engineer will participate in the creation of design documentation software code software unit test plans and other project artifacts ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES xc2 xb7 Participates as a member of software project or sub-project team s in the development of software applications for product test tools xc2 xb7 Adheres to defined development plans guidelines and procedures xc2 xb7 Generates high-quality work products xc2 xb7 Translates requirements specifications into design and ultimately software xc2 xb7 Participates in requirements design and code reviews as they pertain to software designs xc2 xb7 Participates in other activities such as performing hazard and risk analysis reviews of designs and tests etc xc2 xb7 Functions well in a team environment xc2 xb7 Demonstrates good coding practices PRINCIPAL WORKING RELATIONSHIPS xc2 xb7 Reports to the Sr Engineering Supervisor Engineering Manager xc2 xb7 Accountable to Project Manager s for project-related responsibilities xc2 xb7 Frequent interaction with team members from other disciplines particularly hardware engineers to develop project requirements and other project artifacts such as project schedules Possible interaction with clinicians third-party vendors manufacturers subcontractors and other users Qualifications - InternalEXPERIENCE xc2 xb7 4-12 years embedded software development experience xc2 xb7 Hands Experience on C 11 and above versions xc2 xb7 Hands -on experience on QT QML xc2 xb7 Hands -on experience on Google test tool for unit testing xc2 xb7 Hands-on experience on operating systems like Linux or Any RTOS xc2 xb7 Software Development unit testing experience xc2 xb7 Experience in tools like JAMA STASH BITBUCKET GIT JIRA CONFLUENCE BAMBOO xc2 xb7 Good knowledge on agile principle and good experience in working in agile environmentKNOWLEDGE SKILL AND ABILITY xc2 xb7 Embedded application development and unit testing experience is required xc2 xb7 Good understanding of multithreading in both design and implementation xc2 xb7 Experience with projects that require hardware software interfacing xc2 xb7 Medical instruments development experience is preferable xc2 xb7 Experience with a documented software development processes or familiarity with FDA and ISO standards like IEC 62304 is a plus xc2 xb7 Good communication skills xc2 xb7 Good team player xc2 xb7 Continue to focus on improvements and brings value to the customersEDUCATION xc2 xb7 Required -
