Job Description Hiring for a Head of IT for a leading automotive components manufacturer. Company description: Our client is a renowned multinational company headquartered in Chennai, India. the client has grown into a leading manufacturer specializing in high-quality automotive components and precision-engineered products. With decades of expertise and customer-centric approach and a dedication to sustainability, the client remains a trusted partner in the automotive and manufacturing industries. Role details: - Title / Designation: Head of IT - Location: Chennai , India - Reporting to : CEO Role & responsibilities: - Define and execute the IT strategy aligned with the organization's overall business objectives. - Lead enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives, leveraging AI, automation, and advanced analytics. - Oversee the implementation, integration, and continuous improvement of SAP S/4 HANA systems. - Manage and optimize IT infrastructure to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performance operations. - Strengthen cybersecurity frameworks to safeguard digital assets and minimize risks. - Establish and maintain effective Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) mechanisms. - Ensure compliance with IT governance, regulatory requirements, and data protection standards. - Lead, mentor, and develop cross-functional IT teams to build internal capability and foster innovation. - Collaborate with C-level executives and Board members to present IT strategies, roadmaps, and risk assessments. - Engage with key business stakeholders to drive technology-enabled process improvements and innovation. Candidate requirements: - Minimum 20 years of experience in the Manufacturing sector, IT Consulting in Manufacturing sector(Preferably from the Automobile or Auto Components industry). - B.E / B.Tech in Information Technology or Computer Science - Proven experience in formulating and executing IT strategies aligned with business goals - Strong background in digital transformation, including AI, automation, and advanced analytics - In-depth experience with SAP S/4 HANA implementation, integration, and optimization - Skilled in managing enterprise IT infrastructure for scalability, performance, and security - Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and risk mitigation strategies - Familiarity with Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions - Understanding of IT governance, compliance, and regulatory frameworks - Strong leadership skills to build and lead high-performing IT teams - Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive innovation - Excellent communication and presentation skills to interact with C-level executives and Board members
