Introduction The Senior Control System Engineer is responsible for the electrical and process automation design and architecture related to product development lifecycle upgrades and customer project delivery The position requires significant knowledge of industrial electrical engineering electrical standards process control design network architecture and MES ERP integrations The Engineer is responsible for engineering design and development which will typically include preparation of design or development specifications electrical drawings PLC Advance process control development HMI and SCADA Development preparation of machine process design architecture and electrical architecture This position is based at Vadodara Gujarat India It will involve 20 -30 of Global and Local travelling Team you belong to The Engineer works in close collaboration with a team of Control System Engineers and partners The Engineer will have the responsibility to develop and maintain Metso standard product portfolio according to the product roadmap and develop specific solutions for our customers Excellent communication and effective interpersonal skills are required as the Engineer will have frequent interactions with internal external customers and suppliers while supporting product development and customer projects What you ll do Ability to conceptualize design develop test and productize automation systems in an industrial environment Develop new electrical panels automation and control system Develop scalable process control architectures for OEM machines and Develop reusable systems for standard and custom DCS MES and ERP integrations and exposure to S88 architecture preferable Review customer specifications and identify deviations and exceptions as required and Understand technical requirements and communicate requirements to stake holders Produce technically sound designs that meet the product requirements and address the end users case needs and Ensure final design meets accepted specifications Organize their own activity and partners activities for the delivery of internal and external projects Work with third-party partners as necessary for the development of electrical drawings HMI PLC logic and documentation Evaluate components and vendor partners for process control equipment and services and Communicate effectively with the product development team to understand machine requirements Maintains awareness of current state-of-the-art technologies and trends in electrical engineering and automation and implement product improvement ideas to maintain a cost and technically competitive standard offerings Troubleshoot electrical power and control systems Communicate effectively with internal and external customers reacting quickly to issues Who you are Bachelor of Engineering or technology in Electronics Electronics and telecommunication Instrumentation Automation Engineering or equivalent with a minimum experience of 7 years a preferred experience of 10 years Experience programming within PLCs DCSs SCADA and APC systems and PLC development in Rockwell and Siemens is necessary Experience in PLC development in ABB Schneider is a plus Experience on real-time process applications especially exposure to burner controls ATEX NPFA IECEx Standards and heavy industrial automation is preferred Experience in SQL development for industrial integration is preferred Experience in SCADA and HMI development is necessary Experience in InTouch development is a plus and Experience in development implementation of industrial fieldbus protocols ASi IO-Link EIP Modbus Profinet Experience with configuring and troubleshooting industrial controls systems and industrial instrumentation Experience in designing process embedded automation for OEM equipment is a plus Experience with commissioning field instrumentation automated equipment or systems FAT SAT is required Experience with Medium Voltage motors is a plus Experience in project management is a plus Experience as trainer and training material development are a plus Experience with Functional Safety systems is a plus Must be able to demonstrate high a degree of Automation technical competency for design and integration of electrical components and automation software development Excellent communication skills both written and oral and effective interpersonal skills are required Expertises in Ms Office and computer skills What s in it for you Wellbeing and safety -
