As a QA Engineer in the dbflow squad, you will be a key contributor to ensuring the quality and reliability of our automation solutions. You will be involved throughout the software development lifecycle-from analyzing requirements and designing test cases to developing automation features and executing tests across environments. Automation & Execution - Develop high-quality automated test solutions using Selenium with Java and BDD frameworks (Serenity, Cucumber). - Execute functional, non-functional, integration, and user acceptance tests across multiple environments. - Perform API testing using tools like Postman and SOAP UI, and conduct load/performance testing with JMeter. - Report automated test results and collaborate with developers to resolve defects before production release. Collaboration & Agile Delivery - Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, refinements). - Work closely with developers, analysts, product owners, and deployment managers to ensure sprint objectives are met. - Advocate for quality and continuously improve testing processes within the squad. Your skills and experience Core Expertise - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent professional experience. - Strong experience in requirements analysis, test case creation, and execution. - Proven expertise in test automation frameworks (Selenium + Java preferred) and BDD methodology. - Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and software development best practices. Technical Skills - Proficiency in Java (v21), Maven for dependency management, and Git for version control (branching strategies, commits, merges). - Experience with API testing tools (Postman, SOAP UI) and performance testing tools (JMeter). - Familiarity with Gherkin syntax for BDD scenarios and frameworks like Serenity + Cucumber. - Knowledge of databases and SQL for data validation. Tools & Platforms - Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools (ALM, Jira, TestRail). - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration with automation frameworks. Nice to Have - Exposure to retail banking domain and business-specific testing. - Knowledge of runtime analytics and digital certificate handling.
