- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physical Design Engineer to join our team.
- The candidate should have a strong background in block-level Place & Route (PnR) and physical verification, along with excellent analytical and debugging capabilities.
- This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.

Essential Job Functions:

- Own and drive block-level physical design activities including floorplanning, placement, CTS, routing, and optimization.
- Perform physical verification (DRC, LVS, ERC, Antenna checks) and resolve issues in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Have hands on experience in IR drop analysis and the fixes.
- Work closely with RTL designers, STA engineers, and packaging/layout teams to ensure design closure.
- Analyze and debug timing, congestion, and DRC/LVS issues efficiently.
- Contribute to methodology development and automation for improved design efficiency.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior team members.

Required Skills:

- 7–10 years of hands-on experience in block-level PnR and physical verification.
- Proficiency in tools such as Innovus, ICC2, Primetime, Calibre, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of timing closure, power optimization, and signal integrity.
- Excellent analytical and debugging skills.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work across multiple teams and geographies.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, VLSI, or related field.

Preferred:

- Experience with advanced nodes.
- Exposure to low-power design techniques and multi-voltage domains.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (TCL, Perl, Python) for automation.
