Senior Engineer Operation Service Assurance Training ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY We are looking for a proactive and skilled Senior Engineer to join the L3 Operations Team in India S he will be responsible for quickly learning and mastering multi-orbit terminal and platform satcom systems and then imparting that knowledge to the shift teams This role is essential to ensuring that the L3 Operations Team has the necessary technical expertise to resolve issues independently and operate efficiently The Trainer will work closely with the L3 Operations Manager team leads and engineers to develop and deliver comprehensive technical information learning and certification programs This position is ideal for someone who thrives on learning quickly and enjoys sharing knowledge with others in a structured and supportive environment PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESULT AREAS Training Development Delivery Learn the technical and operational aspects of satcom terminal and platform systems with a focus on VSAT platforms like Gilat iDirect Comtech and HNS Design develop and deliver training programs for the L3 Operations shift teams to ensure they are equipped to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently Create and maintain up-to-date training materials and resources incorporating the latest operational procedures and technology advancements Technical Support Provide real-time support and guidance to engineers during training and issue resolution ensuring they understand and apply the knowledge effectively Collaborate with senior engineers and team leads to identify knowledge gaps and tailor training programs to meet the team s evolving needs Deputize for the Manager OSA and support initiatives and projects as required Process Optimization Knowledge Sharing Continuously review and refine training programs to ensure they align with best practices and operational requirements Foster a culture of knowledge sharing within the L3 Operations Team encouraging continuous learning and improvement Assist in process improvement initiatives by ensuring the team is up-to-date with optimized Standard Operating Procedures SOPs s COMPETENCIES Training Development Ability to quickly learn technical concepts and deliver structured training that meets the team s needs Communication Strong communication skills capable of explaining complex technical topics in a clear and understandable way Collaboration Effective at working with various stakeholders to tailor training and support to operational goals and at ease in working cross-functionally Commitment to fostering an inclusive supportive and diverse team environment Agility An adaptable mindset able to adjust training approaches based on new technologies and team requirements QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE Bachelor s degree in Telecommunications Engineering Electronics and Communication Engineering ECE Information and Communication Technology ICT or a related field At least 2 years of experience in a similar role preferably in satellite communications or a related domain Experience with VSAT platforms such as Gilat iDirect Comtech or HNS is a plus Proven ability to develop and deliver training programs and materials Technical Skills Strong understanding of satellite communications infrastructure and operational processes Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals is advantageous Fluent in English OTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS COMMENTS Willingness to travel SES and its Affiliated Companies are committed to providing fair and equal employment opportunities to all We are an Equal Opportunity employer and will consider all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race color religion gender pregnancy sex sexual orientation gender identity national origin age genetic information protected veteran status disability or any other basis protected by local state or federal law For more information on SES click
